On April 21st, 2016, the Church at St. Ann’s Parish in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, part of the Diocese of Boise, was set on fire by an arsonist, resulting in total destruction of the building and contents.

Working together with the Diocese, the parish team, the architect, and the contractors, the Church was rebuilt on site. The architect put together a beautiful design, and the contractor’s work was excellent. I was able to attend the Blessing Ceremony, presented by Bishop Peter F. Christensen. It was an honor to have been invited by Father Carlos A. Perez S, pastor of St. Ann’s, to attend the celebration. Bishop Christensen did a wonderful job throughout the ceremony. Father Carlos was very proud of the entire effort of his team to bring this all together.

You could tell how much the parishioners love Father Carlos, and how happy everyone seemed to be at this dedication.

It was a great event to be a part of.
