We have an excellent opportunity available for a Service Office Assistant in our San Bernardino, California location!

This position provides the administrative and clerical support to a fast paced, high volume Claims/Risk Management office that administers a Catholic property/liability self-insurance program in Southern California. The ideal candidate will be able to function in a performance based role, multi-task, be a team player, have a positive attitude, be timely, accurate, resourceful, self-motivated, confident, humble, detail-oriented, have reliable attendance and be willing to adapt and learn new skills. Duties include: maintaining confidentiality, responding to email inquiries, answering incoming calls, processing mail and maintaining computer and paper filing systems; copying/scanning documents; preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence; and drafting certificates of coverage in a timely and accurate manner. This person will also maintain an accurate recording and diary system for risk management inspections and assist the Claims/Risk Manager in various claims processing functions.

We are looking for a person with a track record of significant experience in servicing a client, relational skills, working well with peers, ability to anticipate needs, strong oral and written business communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks, and solid computer skills. Experience and profound interest in the insurance industry, with some post-high school training or college is preferred. This position will provide the right candidate with excellent exposure to the temporal side of insurance and risk management professions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook is required. It is a preference that candidates have knowledge and linguistic skills both written and oral in Spanish and English.
