Catholic Mutual Group (CMG) was established in 1889 and is the recognized leader in providing property and casualty protection, and employee group benefit plans for Catholic dioceses in the United States. We are currently searching for a talented and experienced Marketing Professional to lead our marketing efforts who will be based out of our home office location in Omaha, Nebraska.
This position will be responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets for CMG in the United States and Canada. Specific responsibilities include leading business and market development; market research and planning; developing marketing strategies for CMG; coordination with other internal departments; and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Directing the marketing of our coverage and service programs to prospective religious orders and Dioceses including personal visits, phone contacts, mailings, national conferences and presenting formal proposals to prospects for consideration
- Provide client service during the transition of newly acquired business to appropriate departments within CMG. This includes gathering necessary underwriting data, responding to calls from Members regarding changes, coverage questions, certificate requests, risk management and loss control, etc.
- Research and monitor activities and trends of the insurance industry, including CMG’s primary competitors, and recommend changes to our products and services to remain competitive.
- Assist internally with various functions affecting our products, services, and/or relationships with members, which includes developing and pricing a competitive coverage and service program.
Qualifications include a minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible marketing experience, a profound interest in the insurance industry and an Undergraduate degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook is required.
The ideal candidate would have a track record of significant experience in servicing a client, relational skills, the ability to anticipate needs, strong oral and written business communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks.
