Catholic Mutual Group has an excellent opportunity for a Claims/Risk Manager (CRM) for our service office in Houston, Texas. If you are driven to provide a high level of quality customer service, we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will be the leader of the Catholic Mutual team within the Archdiocese and responsible for establishing a cohesive team for delivering the valued risk management services to the Archdiocese. The CRM will receive and adjudicate property/casualty claims by performing investigations/site inspections, evaluating liability, verifying coverages, and negotiating fair and equitable settlements. The candidate will also provide risk management services including conducting annual safety inspections, establishing and monitoring risk management policies, promoting safety awareness through educational seminars and online training, composing newsletters and other safety literature for distribution. Frequent regional travel by automobile is required (automobile provided).

A four year college degree is required and an Associate in Risk Management is preferred. Multi-lines claim experience preferred, which may include property, casualty, auto, workers compensation and other lines of coverage. The candidate must also possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to make independent, sound judgments and have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be willing to work irregular hours and be on call for emergencies. This position operates in both a typical office environment and in the field traveling to and from various churches, schools and other locations. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license. Prior Risk Management or safety experience helpful. Good customer service skills are necessary. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook required.
