Assistant Claims/Risk Manager

Catholic Mutual Group has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Claims/Risk Manager for our service office in St. Paul, Minnesota. If you have a great work ethic and are driven to provide excellent customer service, we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will receive and adjust property/casualty claims by investigating and evaluating liability, verifying coverages, and negotiating fair and equitable settlements. This person will perform site inspections and review and recommend coverages. They will also provide Risk Management services by conducting annual safety inspections and monitor Risk Management policies. Responsibilities also include the promotion of safety awareness through educational seminars, composition of newsletters and distribution of other safety literature. They will also assist with customer service issues. Frequent regional travel by automobile is required.
Four year college degree preferred. A general understanding of insurance with 5 years multi-line experience, to include property/casualty, and auto is preferred. Must be able to make independent, sound judgments and have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be willing to work irregular hours and be on call for emergencies. This position operates in both a typical office environment and in the field traveling to and from various churches, schools and other locations. Must have a valid driver’s license. Prior Risk Management or safety experience is helpful. Good customer service skills are necessary. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook required.
